Danielle Hastings
My name is Danielle. I live in South Carolina. The South has taken me awhile to get used to, but I love it here. However, it seems that I make cultural missteps on a daily basis.
I graduated from the University of Maryland, where I majored in Geographic Information Systems. You read that correctly.
I’m a runner. I tend to get a little obsessive about it, hence my need to run a marathon in every state. In a dream world, I’ll be done with that goal by the time I’m 30. For the record, don’t confuse my ability to run far with some type of phantom ability to run fast. I am not fast.
I have a rescued Rottweiler named Rocky. I call him various names such as Rock, Rocket, Rockeboo, Booger, and Boogie. Pretty much never Rocky.
I work for an engineering company and 90% of my coworkers are guys. I love them. They make fun of me for wearing a snuggie at work, but you know what? It’s cold.
