Believe in Yourself
Before the start of every training plan you will most likely have a purpose of why you chose to commit countless time and effort to complete a marathon, triathlon, obstacle course race, etc. Once you have made the commitment, BELIEVE that you will cross the finish line without having the thought, “I don’t know if I can do this,” cross into your mind.
No matter what challenges you encounter, never stop believing you will raise your arms in victory at the finish line. Quitting is not an option. The moment you stop believing in yourself, is the moment your body will shut down. Too many times do people give up mentally during a long distance race and receive the dreaded DNF tag. Remember, the mind is the strongest muscle in your body, and if you believe you can do it, you will do it. Anything is possible.
There is no easy way out to be a champion. Fight and believe. There are many champions during every race; not just the one that came in first place. The person who committed to a training plan to lose weight, is a champion; A beginner athlete who completes their first race, is a champion; An athlete that beats their time goal, is a champion; A person’s that is physically exhausted or is battling through an injury, but still finishes, is a champion. YOU will be a champion, and there is nothing that can take it from you.
“Believe in yourself, and the rest will fall into place. Have faith in your own abilities, work hard, and there is nothing you cannot accomplish.” – Brad Henry

September 21, 2012If you do not believe in yourself why should/would anyone else ever believe in you?
Love the statement that the brain is our strongest muscle because that statement is so true!
